Start a conversation

The most useful first step is a direct conversation. No intake form, no qualification funnel. A 30-minute call to understand your situation and whether there is a fit.

A 30-minute first conversation

The first conversation is not a sales call. It is a diagnostic conversation β€” an opportunity to understand the situation, identify whether the timing is right, and determine whether an advisory engagement would be useful.

Most useful first conversations are specific: a named investment decision, a programme that is not moving as expected, or a board-level question that does not yet have a clear answer. The more specific the situation, the more useful the conversation.

If there is a fit, the appropriate next step is usually a Diagnostic Engagement β€” a structured, time-bounded assessment with a clear deliverable. There is no obligation to proceed further.

01

Send an email

A brief description of your organisation, the situation, and what you are trying to resolve. Two or three sentences is enough to start.

02

30-minute conversation

A direct call β€” no preparation required on your side. The goal is to understand the situation clearly enough to identify whether there is a useful role for an independent principal advisor.

03

Engagement design, if there is a fit

If the situation warrants it, an engagement proposal is prepared: scope, format, deliverable, and fee. No ambiguity about what is being engaged and what the outcome is.

04

Clear recommendation

Every engagement concludes with a clear, written recommendation β€” not a status report. If additional support would be useful, that is stated. If not, that is stated too.

Three ways to engage

Engagements are structured to match the situation. The first conversation will identify which format is most appropriate for your context and timing.

Strategic Advisory Retainer

Ongoing strategic counsel

A sustained advisory relationship for organisations navigating a multi-year digital transformation programme, an ERP or MES deployment, or a regulatory readiness programme where strategic continuity matters.

Monthly retainer
Diagnostic Engagement

FC Model diagnostic and recommendation

A time-bounded engagement β€” typically four to eight weeks β€” applying the FC Modelβ„’ to a specific investment decision or programme. Delivers a written assessment and a clear strategic recommendation.

Fixed fee
Critical Moment Support

Expert input at a decision point

Targeted advisory support at a critical moment β€” a regulatory inspection, a system go-live, a board presentation, or an investment decision that requires independent expert input within a short window.

Daily rate

The right conversation for your role

Advisory engagements are most useful at the point where the investment decision is being shaped β€” not after the system is live. The earlier the conversation, the more the recommendation can change the outcome.

Site Head

Building the digital investment case for the next programme cycle, or navigating a deployment that has stalled at Level 1. Looking for an independent view that is not tied to a vendor or system integrator.

VP of Operations

Accountable for a multi-site digital programme and seeking cross-case pattern analysis. Needs a recommendation that can be taken to the board β€” not a project status update.

CFO

Evaluating the financial case for a major digital investment or seeking an independent view on whether the current programme is structured to deliver return. Needs a financially legible recommendation, not a technical specification.

Quality or Regulatory Director

Preparing for an FDA, EMA, HSA, MHRA, or TGA inspection, or navigating a data integrity remediation programme that has grown in scope beyond its original design.

Digital or IT Leader

Accountable for a system deployment or integration programme and seeking independent strategic input β€” particularly at the architecture or data standards decision point, before it is locked in.

Board or Investor

Seeking an independent assessment of digital investment maturity across a pharmaceutical or biotechnology portfolio β€” or evaluating the digital readiness of an acquisition target.

The most valuable conversation is the one before the next digital investment approval

Send a brief description of your situation. Two or three sentences is sufficient to start. There is no form to fill in.
